Roundhay Park, Leeds - A Walk back in Time. A variety of Millstone Grit and Coal Measure Group rocks are exposed along with folds and evidence of faulting.

Further information about the event: The walk follows paths in the Park and is approximately 2 km long. Most of the paths are level but two sites require ascending/descending a fairly steep hillside that can be slippery in wet weather.
Is the event suitable for all? The full route would be suitable for anyone who has no difficulties walking on uneven ground.
Is booking required? No booking is required
Nearest car parking. - Lakeside Café car park, which is free.
Nearest public transport - The perimeter of the Park is served by public transport from a number of directions. Buses travelling along Wetherby Road (98,99), Princess Avenue (2, 12) and Ring Road (8) can all be used to access the park from different points
Nearest public conveniences - Lakeside Café (closes at 6.30 p.m.)
Things that will be provided - A handout will be provided
Things to take to the event - Waterproof clothing should be carried
Safety advice - Care needs to be taken on steep sections of the path and banks of stream.
