Bring a hand lens of magnifing glass if you have one. Please wear appropriate clothing for the weather conditions.
Further details - Hull city centre shows a wide range of rock types used in constructional and ornamental stones. As part of a series of urban Geology events throughout Yorkshire we will explore the different types of stones to be found in the city centre and learn a little about the environments they were formed in and how their various characteristics are exploited by builders and architects.
