What?
Geology and scenery of Hessle Foreshore and the Humber Bridge Country Park Local Nature Reserve.
A short walk to look at the rocks, fossils, plants, history and scenery of the dramatic cliff terraces of the old chalk quarry in the Local Nature Reserve. This evening event also features a stroll along the Foreshore, which is often a great sunset viewpoint.
When?
Tuesday 9th May 2006 in the evening lasting about 2 hours.

Mike Horne (of the Hull Geological Society) and the East Riding of Yorkshire Council's Countryside Access Team.

Things to take to the event (including an protective clothing) - a hard hat may be useful, but is not essential.
Is there any safety advice that people need to know in advance? Walk is mostly over flat paths, but with potentially slipper rocks and muddy paths in some places. You must wear suitable clothing and footwear for the weather conditions. Do not go near the quarry faces if you are not wearing a hard hat.
