about now and zen
Now and Zen is an in house newsletter for the benefit of the SRM groups and individuals in the northern half of England, which are either affiliated to, or hoping to be affiliated to, Throssel Hole Buddhist Abbey under its Soto Zen Buddhist training as set out in the disciplines of the Order of Buddhist Contemplatives. Whilst Now and Zen seeks to be loyal to the OBC teaching in every possible way, views expressed by contributors are not necessarily those of the OBC. Since Now and Zen is a vehicle especially for lay disciples we feel it is important that they are free to express their needs and experiences, several of which may be of help and encouragement to other members.
We would like to receive details of both past and future events from all participating groups and individuals. We would also like to include details of births, deaths, marriages, house blessings, animals etc.
Please do not be put off by feeling that your contribution may not be good enough. All contributions are gratefully received and, where necessary, contributors will be contacted to discuss their piece, which might have to be condensed. So please always enclose your address and telephone number.
This is very much YOUR newsletter. The support we have received so far has been very encouraging. The editorship is most grateful for the moral support received from those who realise only too well the many problems involved in launching this newsletter.
Material for the newsletter should be sent to Mike@Horne28.freeserve.co.ukNow and Zen is no longer published in its printed form but you are welcome to submit material for publication on this web-site.
