Hull Buddhist Forum - meets every 3rd Sunday in Hull, at 2-30pm until 5-00 p.m. for discussion and meditation. Theravada/mixed traditions. Contact: Chris Cook, 220 Park Avenue, Hull, Telephone 01482 342033, for details of the next meeting.

Hull Buddhist Group ceased to meet 12 September 1999 after four years of regular Sunday evening meetings.

"Hull Buddhist Groups" - an informal grouping of local Buddhist groups that come together occasionally for special events such as Wesak.

Hull Serene Reflection Meditation group (Soto Zen Tradition) affiliated to Throssel Hole Buddhist Abbey meets weekday evenings once a week at 7-30pm (usually on a Tuesday) for meditation, scripture recitation and recorded Dharma talk. Also, holds occasional introductory meetings/retreats on a Saturday in Hull, often with a monk from Throssel Hole. Telephone Mike on 01482 465466 for more information.

Kagyu Naro Ling, part of the Dechen Community. (Tibetan Sakya and Kagyu Traditions). This groups no longer meets, but you can find out more ablout the tradition by visiting their national website.

Kanzeon Sangha - Soto and Rinzai Zen Traditions, meet for meditation most Thursday evenings at Hedon near Hull, from 7-30pm until 10 pm. Contact John Olhdam on 01482 898382 or write to 32 Baxtergate, Hedon, Hull, HU12 8JN. The Group is affiliated to the Kanzeon Sangha International, which was founded in 1984 of Zen Master Genpo Merzel Roshi, who is based in Salt Lake City, USA. It also has links with Zen Master Tenkai Coppens from the Zen River Zendo in the Netherlands.

Khedrupje Buddhist Centre: 185 Coltman Street, Anlaby Road, Hull, HU3 2SQ. Telephone 01482 324940, part of the New Kadampa Tradition (NKT) founded by Tibetan Lama Geshe Kelsang. Offers courses based around the publications of Geshe Kelsang for fees starting at £3-00. The Madhyamaka Centre near Pocklington and a group in Leeds are also part of the same tradition.
