Flamborough Quaternary Research Group

Formed in December 2002, at the suggesttion of Ian Heppenstall.

Membership:- Chris Leach, Colin Clark, Derek Gobbett, Ian Heppenstall, Mike Horne, Nigel Whittington, Paul Richards and Stuart Jones.

Aims:- to document and date the deposits at South Landing and Danes Dyke.

Evidence to be investigated:-

• Current bedded gravels high in cliff east of South Landing (SL).
• Chalk gravel cliff east of SL with some erratics.
• Calcrete blocks just east of SL.
• Both sides of SL sand and silt beds.
• Calcrete blocks west of SL (different from the north side).
